The Bryan & Vinny & Craig Show is back today with tons to talk about in our look back at Raw and Nitro from 19 years ago this week: August 16, 1999!
Raw was a badly booked show but it was a badly booked wrestling show, featuring Undertaker’s desert promo, the return of the British Bulldog, Crash Holly debuts, the ongoing fight over the number one contendership match, Mr. Ass and the failed herbal treatment on his behind and a main event featuring Mankind vs. Triple H for the number one contendership.
Nitro was so hilariously awful that probably nothing in sports or entertainment can compare. Fake win streaks, fake math, fake times, fake finishes where guys not in the match get pinned, and more. This show featured the likes of Berlyn, Insane Clown Posse, The breakup of the nWo Black and White, Billy Kidman’s great interview, Brian Knobs vs. Rick Steiner and a main event featuring Hulk Hogan vs. Sid for the WCW title. A fun show as always so check it out~!
