On this episode, Denise recaps both AEW Dynamite’s New Year’s Smash and WWE NXT’s New Year’s Evil both of which were heavily promoted and featured fully stacked cards.
On the AEW side, AEW Dynamite presented night one of AEW’s New Year’s Smash. The card for AEW’s New Year’s Smash included: Kenny Omega defending his AEW World Championship belt against Rey Fenix, a singles match between Jake Hager and Wardlow, plus more.
Then over on the NXT side of things, they held New Year’s Evil. Matches featured included Raquel Gonzalez vs. Rhea Ripley in a Last Woman Standing Match, Karrion Kross vs. Damian Priest and in the main event Kyle O’ Reily vs. Finn Balor for the NXT Championship.
