WOL: Recapping SmackDown and the WON awards

On Saturday’s edition of Wrestling Observer Live, we kick off by reviewing Friday’s SmackDown on Fox including the NWO’s live segment.

Also, why does Braun Strowman’s feud with Sami Zayn, Nakamura, and Cesaro look like something out of a Wes Anderson movie? Also, I have thoughts on the the women’s Elimination Chamber match Sunday and what could happen if WWE decides to not build to Shayna Baszler vs. Becky Lynch at WrestleMania.

Plus, Chris Jericho had an amazing 2019 and the voting in this year’s Wrestling Observer Awards reflects it. This is Jericho’s time to show where he ranks among the all-time greats like Lou Thesz, Ric Flair, and Jim Londos. Additionally, one of the biggest success stories of 2019 was overlooked in the the voting: a wrestler who drew money, helped grow a company, and had mainstream exposure was virtually ignored.

Hear all that and more on today’s WOL.
