Eight days out from TNA’s next app special, the best segment on Impact was spent hyping up a big show for another promotion.
The face-to-face confrontation between NXT champion Oba Femi and TNA X-Division champion Moose, the two combatants in the main event of NXT’s Roadblock, stole the show this week. So what about TNA Sacrifice? Well, the presumed main event—the ladder match between Moose and Jeff Hardy—was virtually ignored. The participants in the 10-man tag were finalized, and a stip was added. Masha Slamovich’s title defense against Cora Jade was pushed, assuming Jade will be medically cleared to compete by then. And the NXT trio of Wes Lee, Tyson Dupont, and Tyriek Igwe continue to ruin the days of Ace Austin and the Rascalz.
Elsewhere, Savannah Evans battles Xia Brookside, the Elegance brand spends more time as the personal servants of Spitfire, Eric Young tries again to earn the trust of Steve Maclin, Mike Santana poisons Mustafa Ali, and the Colons wrestle the Hardys in a main event that, technically, happened.
