The Bryan & Vinny & Craig Show is back today but because of the holiday no Vinny or Craig — but fear not, LANCE STORM joins us to talk Retro Raw and Nitro from 19 years ago this week! These shows took place on July 5, 1999.
Nitro had Bret Hart talking to the audience for the first time since Owen Hart’s death, Eddie Guerrero unmasking luchadores, Jerry Flynn vs. Ernest Miller in a kickboxing match, Randy Savage’s uncomfortable ending segment, a very unsubtle Lenny and Lodi segment, an excellent West Texas Rednecks concert, Judge Mills Lane and a main event featuring Kevin Nash vs. Sid Vicious.
Raw has Steve Austin and Vince McMahon setting stipulations, Chyna and Billy Gunn press charges on Road Dogg and X-Pac, The Hardy Boyz win the WWE tag team titles, Chaz vs. Jeff Jarrett, D’Lo Brown vs. Al Snow in a hardcore match, Triple H vs. The Rock in an excellent steel cage.
