The Bryan & Vinny & Craig Show is back today with tons to talk about in our look back at Raw and Nitro from 19 years ago this week: May 31, 1999.
Nitro had the debut of Tank Abbott, the return of Eddie Guerrero, Eric Bischoff on commentary, Van Hammer vs. Evan Karagias, Erik Watts vs. David Flair, Randy Savage and Team Madness being covered in septic tank contents, Dean Malenko kind of proving WCW’s point about not pushing cruiserweights and a main event pitting Sting and Rick Steiner inside a cage.
Raw had teases of the GREATER/HIGHER POWER almost being revealed, Beaver Cleavage vs. Christian, Jeff Jarrett vs. The Godfather for the Intercontinental title, Vince McMahon vs. Undertaker, X-Pac and Kane vs. The Acolytes, GDTV, Mankind vs. Triple H in what was the start toward his eventual retirement and a main event segment featuring Steve Austin catching a glimpse of who the Higher Power actually is.
