WOL: The Fiend is fine, AEW Revolution preview and predictions

It’s time for this week’s Saturday edition of Wrestling Observer Live with Jim Valley.

The Fiend is fine. He’s not being buried. Challenging John Cena during the last segment of the most-watched episode of SmackDown this year is a much bigger positive than losing the Universal title on a WWE Network show that was broadcast in the United States during the middle of day. SmackDown was seen by over 2.7 million people in the U.S. alone. The WWE Network has less than a million subscribers in the country. There’s a false equivalency in wrestling that I talk about when it comes to booking, “old guys” and why I think this is part of a plan to play on your sympathies to rebuild The Fiend in fans’ eyes.

Plus, I preview AEW Revolution. I’ll make some predictions and ask questions about the future of Orange Cassidy, Hangman Page, Kenny Omega, Jon Moxley, and more. The callers also have smart predictions on AEW Revolution.
