Wrestling Observer Radio with Dave Meltzer and myself, guest co-host Garrett Gonzales, is back.
We kick off the show talking about the big heavyweight boxing match on DAZN from Saudi Arabia between Andy Ruiz Jr. and Anthony Joshua. We talk about possible fights with Deontay Wilder and Tyson Fury and how hard it might be to make those fights.
Then, we look at the Wednesday night ratings for AEW Dynamite and NXT. We look at what both companies should be worried about after the 10 weeks of competition, why 18-49 is the important demo, who draws the best in that demo on each brand, and more. We then move onto Dave’s recap of Smackdown before getting into the Wrestling Observer Hall of Fame. The 2019 class will be announced in the next issue of the newsletter.
We then talk about NJPW, Bandido and Flamita, and a few other news stories to end the show.
