Wrestling Observer Radio with Bryan Alvarez and Dave Meltzer is back today with tons to talk about including a variety of notes on Bruno Sammartino including the answers to some of your questions about his life and career, PWG, ITV tapings, UFC Fight Night from Saturday, Leslie Smith, Matt Serra and tons more!
Dave first talks about his memories of Bruno Sammartino, including the first time he talked to Bruno, the cause of death, his strained relationship with David and the last run in the WWE he wasn’t proud of. UFC in Atlantic City is reviewed, featuring a main event pitting Kevin Lee against Edson Barboza, where Lee dominated until winning in the fifth round due to injury stoppage. Frankie Edgar also started his comeback tonight, winning decisively against Cub Swanson.
After some brief talk about Impact’s PPV on Sunday, questions about Bruno Sammartino are read, including his Australian tours and if Bruno could have gotten over in any era.
