After a few minutes on the Vince McMahon movie script (or more accurately Jim Cornette’s hilarious reactions to a portion of the script) we talk about a couple of events; one that sadly won’t be on the calendar this year and one that just took place earlier this week.
There will be no Mid-Atlantic Legends Fanfest this year. Both Les and Vic have been to this event and we discuss our sadness around not having a Fanfest this year (8:41) and some of the things that have made that event so much fun in previous years. Then we’ll spend a little time talking about the Cauliflower Alley Club in Las Vegas (23:04), where Dave Meltzer was honored this week.
From there, we open the mailbag to answer your questions on WWE going to a one champion for two brands system (34:31), booking angles or other noteworthy things to happen on house shows once in a while (40:10), whether or not to address people by their wrestling names or their given names at a show (44:06), and yes, some advice for the lovelorn (47:31)~! We’re not exactly Vince McMahon and Bobby Heenan on TNT, but we gave it a shot.
